IMPACT

Our Children's Ministry is called IMPACT, which includes all programming for children: infants through 6th Grade. This includes the Nursery, Sunday programming called the Children’s Learning Center (CLC) and Children’s Worship Service, VeBS, and other special children’s events. Our goal through all of this is to love your kids, point them to Jesus, and resource you, as parents, to be the primary spiritual influence on your children.

Education Hour, 8:45-9:45 AM

Programming for children up through 6th Grade whose parents are attending the Adult Learning Center.

  • Nursery: infants through pre schoolers
  • K through 6th Grade: students meet downstairs in the 2/3 Grade Room for a Bible lesson

All preschool and younger students need to be checked in by a parent/guardian and checked out by the same. Each child will have a numbered nametag filled out by the parent/guardian. This will also give us information regarding allergies, etc. The person signing in the student will keep a tag with the same number that will be used when picking up the child.

Children's Learning Center (CLC) & Worship Service, 10:00 AM

The following ministries occur simultaneously with our worship service:

  • Nursery: Infants - 2 years old; located upstairs on the north end of the Lobby.
  • Preschoolers: The 2/3 Yr Old and 4/5 Yr Old classes meet in their classroom downstairs for the entire service. Parents sign in and check out their students from these rooms.
  • K through 6th Grade: Students meet downstairs in the Multipurpose Room for worship “kid style” and are then dismissed with their classroom leaders for Bible study and relationship building for their age group.

Nursery

Purpose

The nursery is a place where children from birth through younger two-year-olds can experience church in a positive way and begin to learn about God while their parents enjoy the main worship service. The nursery is staffed by parents, other caring adults, and young people. During special services, the Nursery expands to accommodate older children as well, usually up to the age of 5.

Child Health Policy

We want the nursery to be a safe place. To help ensure this, we ask that parents follow our health guidelines for children in our nursery.

  • No fever above 99 degrees within the last 24 hours.
  • No vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, or contagious skin conditions within the last 24 hours (unless treated for 24 hours).
  • No colored discharge from the eyes, nose, or ears.
  • No other symptoms which may be contagious.

The Nursery staff reserves the right to remove a child from the Nursery in order to protect the health of everyone involved.

Check-In Procedure

To ensure the safety of all children who use our facility, we ask your cooperation in adhering to the following policy:

  • Parents will remain in the hallway while their child is being checked in.
  • The parent/guardian will sign in their child. The number next to the child’s name will be assigned to the child and his/her belongings. The parent/guardian will retain the back portion of the name tag with the same number.
  • Any special instructions for the child need to be noted on the sign-in tag.
  • To pick up your child, you must present the numbered card you received when you dropped off your child.

If you need to check on your child, please get the attention of a staff member first, without letting your child see you. This keeps the disruption to a minimum. Also, be assured that our staff of committed parents and volunteers won’t hesitate to come and get you if we can’t comfort your child or if we believe he or she is ill. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Verleen Didier.
