The Deacons are a group of men who are nominated, trained, elected, and appointed by Redeemer elders and members. They exist to care for the physical and spiritual needs of DCC people by extending mercy and compassion, as well as for the property and financial stewardship of the congregation. They work very closely with the elders and women of the CARE Team to ensure that needs within the DCC family are being addressed.

We have three deacon teams, and each team is always looking for others in the congregation that would like to join them in their efforts to coordinate these ministires. Contact the church office if you'd like to learn more or to join them in their ministry. The three teams include:

  1. Mercy & Benevolence:  Assist individuals and families within the DCC family and the wider community who are in crisis or in challenging circumstances and offer help in assessing their needs and finding a solution.

  2. Building & Grounds:  Ensures that the property of the church is well cared for and properly maintained. They coordinate regular work days and individuals who can help with "handyman projects" around the facility.

  3. Budget & Finance:  Oversee the financial operations and stewardship of the church, as well as oversee teams of people to receive, count, and deposit offerings.
