Church Planting Opportunities

Denver is the capital and largest city in Colorado and the center of the Denver metropolitan area. Located along the South Platte River just east of the Rocky Mountains, the Denver metro is home to approximately 3.1 million people and has experienced significant growth over the past decade. Known as the “Mile High City,” Denver is one of the largest and fastest-growing urban regions in the Mountain West, drawing people from across the country and around the world.

For a church planter, Denver offers tremendous opportunity and unique challenges. The region is young, growing, highly mobile, and culturally diverse, creating opportunities to build relationships with people from many backgrounds and life stages. Denver is also known for its vibrant arts and culture, strong food and music scenes, craft breweries, and easy access to hiking, camping, and world-class skiing.

Denver’s rapid growth and changing culture create an opportunity to plant churches that engage people searching for community, purpose, and spiritual connection. For someone sensing a call to church planting, Denver offers an exciting place to put down roots, build relationships, serve the community, and establish a healthy, gospel-centered church.

Church planting is a vital need in the Denver metropolitan area. The Denver-Aurora-Centennial metro is home to more than 3 million people and has grown by roughly 21% since 2010. It is also a relatively young and increasingly secular population, creating a significant need for churches that are committed to evangelism, discipleship, and making new followers of Jesus.

There are many faithful, Bible-teaching, gospel-preaching churches throughout the Denver area, and we are grateful for the work God is already doing through them. Yet the size and continued growth of the metro represent an enormous mission field. For the PCA in particular, there is a tremendous opportunity to plant healthy, evangelistic churches that reach people who are unlikely to connect with an established church and develop communities that can continue multiplying across the region.

Deer Creek is a growing, multi-generational PCA church of 550+ members in beautiful Littleton, Colorado, a southwest suburb of Denver. Our mission is simple: make disciples and plant churches. Over the past several years, we have seen God move in powerful ways, and we are excited about the work he is doing throughout the Denver area.

We believe God has called Deer Creek to be a sending church—to continually raise up and send out leaders to establish new churches where the gospel is faithfully preached, new disciples are made, and healthy churches are multiplied. We are excited to partner with the next generation of church planters as they join in what God is already doing in Denver and beyond.
